Dad Peace

Both my daughters are home right now. Right now they are asleep, but I feel a sense of peace right now that is hard to explain. I feel like if anything happened at least I’m around to look out for them and protect them.

It’s not like I feel a sense of angst or anguish when they aren’t here. They are both adults -one is 21 and the other is 24. I’ve gotten used to them not being around all the time, and honestly I really do enjoy my alone time.

I don’t know if it’s a parent thing or if it’s just a dad thing, it’s a peaceful calm feeling. My little girls are home and all is right with the world
